Our new P1 pupils are settling in well at Portpatrick.\u00a0 They have been very busy learning in all sorts of contexts.\u00a0 The class went on an active learning 2D shape hunt using our outdoor areas.\u00a0 To help with writing recounts, the children went on a Teddy Bears picnic.\u00a0 They applied healthy eating to create their own sandwich snacks.\u00a0 They enjoyed story time with ‘We Are Going On A Bear Hunt’.\u00a0 The children played games with their bears to learn social skills.\u00a0 All this was used as a stimulus to write about their adventures with their favourite teddy bears.<\/p>\n
