{"id":3399,"date":"2018-06-14T14:27:59","date_gmt":"2018-06-14T14:27:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/portpatrickprimary\/?p=3399"},"modified":"2018-06-14T14:48:05","modified_gmt":"2018-06-14T14:48:05","slug":"bikeability-level-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/portpatrickprimary\/?p=3399","title":{"rendered":"Bikeability Level 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After previously completing their Level 1 Bikeability training, P4-7 concluded their Level 2 training today.\u00a0 Under the guidance of instructor, Mr Ross, the children undertook a series of road safety challenges out and about in Portpatrick village.<\/p>\n<p>The children were assessed under a number of criteria ranging from controlled braking to manouvering onto minor and major roads.\u00a0 They were also presented with theory questions based on road priorities and road signage to develop their competency and knowledge.\u00a0 All of the challenges were designed to enable our cyclists to safely cope with common road and traffic situations involving decision making.\u00a0 The children demonstrated a responsible attitude to road use and successfully passed the training.<\/p>\n<p>Our thanks go to Mr Ross for volunteering his time and skills.<\/p>\n<p>#Responsible Citizens &#8211; Successful Learners<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After previously completing their Level 1 Bikeability training, P4-7 concluded their Level 2 training today.\u00a0 Under the guidance of instructor, Mr Ross, the children undertook a series of road safety challenges out and about in Portpatrick village.
