The boys and girls received an unexpected visitor today. \u00a0Mrs Joan Beer enjoyed our Grandparents’ lunch so much, she was inspired to create a poem to remember the day. She thought the children would like to hear an example of creative writing being used by grown ups for pleasure. \u00a0We certainly did enjoy listening to Tatties, Neeps and Haggis Galore. \u00a0Roll on next year!<\/p>\n

Tatties, neeps and haggis galore,<\/p>\n
What a lovely treat, with knife and<\/p>\n
Fork held in my hand, I couldn\u2019t wait<\/p>\n
To eat.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
No sooner had I filled my tum<\/p>\n
I couldn\u2019t wait for seconds to come<\/p>\n
The grans and grandads were a<\/p>\n
Lovely bunch, and they, like me,<\/p>\n
Enjoyed their lunch.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Rosie and I said the haggis was great,<\/p>\n
But I only wish mine came on a<\/p>\n
Bigger plate!!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Shortbread biscuits, coffee and<\/p>\n
Tea, went down very well,<\/p>\n
With Rosie and me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The food was served by hard working<\/p>\n
Staff, then all the young children<\/p>\n
Made everyone laugh.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Rosie and I would both like to<\/p>\n
