Class 2 braved the biting wind to apply their measure skills for area and perimeter today.\u00a0 We used our playground to undertake a range of measure challenges. Using our knowledge of shape properties, we had to draw\u00a0squares, rectangles and triangles\u00a0of given perimeter and areas.\u00a0 We also had the option to\u00a0choose our\u00a0own dimensions where we\u00a0then calculated the area and perimeter as appropriate.\u00a0 We remembered to apply our formulae and to use the correct unit of measure.\u00a0 We also developed our HOTS & soft skills by working collaboratively in pairs.\u00a0 We\u00a0cooperated, negotiated, listened and applied our skills.\u00a0 We were successful learners.<\/p>\n\n
