Curriculum News Term 3     

P1/2 pupils can now earn table crystals as rewards and they each have a monkey that climbs the branches on the banana tree to earn their golden time.

Pupils have been learning about modes of transport used in Scotland. They considered the pros and cons of modes of transport in urban and rural areas.

As part of an imaginative writing focus, P3/4 are focusing on story settings. They are using their senses to include more detail in their writing.

Pupils have been investigating why forests are important and can identify some endangered animals found in Scotland.

The pupils were very enthusiastic when discussing an interactive game they had been using to support them when learning classroom objects in French (http://www.crickweb.co.uk/ks2french.html)  

The pupils enjoyed creating symmetrical pictures. They used mirror images to support them when creating their pictures. They have been learning to use the word reflection in relation to symmetry.

The pupils have been exploring how games have developed over the years. The participated in an outdoor  activity, using chalk on the ground to create games which were popular in the past.
