P1/2 will be learning about ‘Weather.’

They shared what they already know about weather.

Sophie- Sometimes it can be sunny and then rainy.

Kayla- When it stops raining there might be a rainbow.

Connor- If you go out in hail stones it hurts your skin.

Jay- When the clouds are dark hail stones might come.

Nell- The wind can change when it is snowy. It can be heavier or slower.

Zofia- The clouds can change colour to darker when it gets stormy.

Evie- When the clouds are dirty, the rain can come down.

Molly- The snow can get some other snow on top of it and cover the grass.

Charlotte- The hail stones can turn into snow.

Chloe- When it is sunny the flowers will grow.

William- Ice can be slippy and some people might fall.

Caleb- Rain helps the flowers grow.

Finn- You might go swimming in the pool in the summer time.

Luca- If you want to know what the weather is going to be like you can turn on your TV and watch the weather.

Amy- Sometimes the weather can be loud.

The pupils then decided on the following questions

What we would like to learn

Why does it sometimes rain and then it turns to ice?

How does the weather change? What makes it change?

How does hot weather makes things dry?

What makes the snow and the rain come down?

Why does the sun come out and go away?
