Christmas Panto

P.1-7 on Thursday afternoon were given a Christmas treat with a viewing of the online, live panto, “Santalive.”

Beatrix, the bad fairy and her side kick, were determined to ruin Christmas and resorted to stealing Santa. Nanny the Dame, The Good Fairy, Elves, Princess (Crystal) and the Snowman (Crystal’s true love,) set out to rescue Santa and Christmas. On the way they run into big foot where a funny “he’s behind you!” scene takes place.

Eventually they find Beatrix hiding Santa in New York, she is still determined to ruin Christmas and spoil the fun until the Good Fairy steps in. a wand duel with Beatrix takes place until the Good Fairy wins and magic’s Beatrix into a good fairy.

The baking scene with Nanny the pantomime Dame, also brought many laughs as jokes and flour and cream fights were seen.

Christmas is saved with everyone looking forward to the big day, and everyone living happy ever after.

The panto was entertaining with jokes, singing, dancing and the traditional loud shouts of “Boooo,” “He’s behind you,” and “Oh no you haven’t,” echoed through the school. A fun time was had by all!
