The pupils have been exploring ways to improve/ uplevel their writing.

Their main focus areas are:

• Vocabulary
• Connectives
• Openers
• Punctuation

They have been busy creating WOW cards (for ambitious vocaulary), jig-saw pieces (for connectives), keys (for opening words in sentences) and some punctuation characters.

Their increased awareness of their current level, and what comes next in writing, will support them as they progress and improve.

The pupils have opportunities to write on the display cards and add them to the working wall. They enjoy sharing their ideas and are beginning to use their peers’ ideas for support.
