This week in P3/4 we have taken a trip back in time to ancient Egypt. We have learnt a lot about Egypt including the purpose of the Nile river, the Pharaohs, the red and black lands and the pyramids. However, our favourite thing that we learnt about was how Egyptians used to mummify people. We loved learning about how the brain was extracted through the nose using a hook and how the different organs were put into canopic jars. The whole process took more than 70 days!!
We decided that we would have a team challenge to mummify each other using toilet roll and see who could do it the quickest. We learnt that the Egyptians must have been very skilled because wrapping someone up was a lot harder than we originally thought!
