P2/3 pupils enjoyed a visit from the local Sparling Project Officer for Galloway Fisheries Trust.
Our visitor shared many interesting facts with the children. They participated in a number of activities. They played different sparling games and had to label their body parts.
Here is what the pupils have to say:
Dylan- We learned about how many eggs the sparling female lays.
Lucas- We learned that they’re very rare fish.
Noemi- Sparling smell like cucumber!
Niki- A lot of people fish them so there aren’t many left.
Adrian- Sparling live in the River Cree.
SPREAD THE WORD, SAVE THE SPARLING!
