The pupils have been learning a lot of new maths strategies.

P1 pupils have been exploring Numicon pieces, counting holes and matching to number digits.

Amy- We had to count the holes in the Numicon and then look for that number.

Riley- I knew the numbers and I looked at the Numicon and put them together.

 

P2 pupils have been learning to bridge across 10 when adding.

Evie- We had to put our cubes on our grid. Then we filled it and counted what was left.

Sophie- We did 8+5 and put 8 down then I took from my 5 cubes until my sheet was filled and added the extra 3 to make 13.
