Welcome to Lockerbie Primary School. We want to find better ways of sharing all of the great things we do and hope that you will access our website and blog to find out what is happening at our school.
We are the only primary school in the town of Lockerbie in south-west Scotland. We have a nursery for pupils aged 2-4, a primary school with 315 pupils aged 5-12 and a Learning Centre for pupils with complex and continuing needs aged 2-18 from the Annandale and Eskdale area. We share a campus with Lockerbie Academy and moved into our lovely new building in June 2010. We have a hydrotherapy pool, Snoezelen and various soft play rooms as well as a large playground and MUGA for football and other outdoor sports.
We hold our third consecutive prestigious International School Award, two Eco Schools Green Flags and we are a Fair Trade school. We are involved in a Connecting Classrooms project with Al Shurooq School for Blind Children in Bethlehem and staff from each school have been involved in reciprocal visits. We are also funded by the British Council for Erasmus+ projects and have won National Awards for our eTwinning projects.
I am the school’s Child Protection Co-ordinator and LAC Champion (for care-experienced children) – please contact me if there is anything you would like to know in this area.
Please contact us if there is anything you would like to find out about our school or if you would like to come and visit.
