He was Principal Teacher of Pupil Support (Barriers to Learning) at Maxwelltown High School before taking on a secondment as Head of School at Elmbank Centre. Steven then became responsible for Primary and Secondary Inclusion across Dumfries and Galloway, as well as looked-after children. Since 2019, Steven has been a Supporting Learners Manager, liaising with secondary schools across the region in relation to Additional Support Needs and Secondary Inclusion matters. She has been a teacher here for many years. Emma is a trained Physio, and her background served her well when she then trained as a Primary Teacher. Emma has worked in a number of Dumfries and Galloway schools including Collin, Eastriggs and Loreburn Primary, but found her calling when she joined Langlands.
