{"id":15091,"date":"2025-12-08T13:40:33","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T13:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/kirkcolmprimary\/?p=15091"},"modified":"2025-12-08T13:40:33","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T13:40:33","slug":"cracking-christmas-coffee-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/kirkcolmprimary\/2025\/12\/08\/cracking-christmas-coffee-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"Cracking Christmas coffee morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><em>Kirkcolm Primary parent council held their annual fundraising Christmas coffee morning on Saturday.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><em>There was delicious home baking, Santat Claus, a wonderful raffle, Christmas crafts and some festive songs from the boys and girls.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><em>In a short space of time over \u00a31400 was raised to help fund projects to support all the boys and girls of Kirkcolm Primary.\u00a0 <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><em>This was further added to with a very generous donation of \u00a32000!\u00a0 Wow!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000\"><em>Many thanks to all who supported this, helped or donated &#8211; what great community spirit!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>UNCRC RIGHTS OF CHILD<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0Article 31 \u2013 Right to Rest, Play, and Cultural Activities<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Children have the right to participate in cultural and recreational activities. A Christmas coffee morning is a cultural event that allows them to experience traditions and celebrations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0Article 15 \u2013 Right to Freedom of Association<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Children have the right to meet with others and join groups.
