Kirkcolm Parent council had put a great deal of preparation into organising their Christmas coffee morning which took place on Saturday.\u00a0 Even Storm Darragh could not deter the support for this fabulous fundraising event!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Lots of family and friends of Kirkcolm Primary braved the very strong winds to come out and enjoy the tasty home baking on offer.\u00a0 \u00a0Many people even had to take detours to reach Kirkcolm – to avoid all the fallen trees on the roads.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

There was a great raffle with lots and lots of fabulous prizes.\u00a0 There was a variety of Christmas arts and crafts for the children to enjoy in a classroom. The pupils of the school also sold their Christmas crafts and entertained with some Christmas songs.\u00a0 Santa was on hand, in his amazing grotto to give all the good boys and girls of Kirkcolm some treats too.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This combined team work, led by Sheila, Marie and the Parent council generated the amazing sum of\u00a0 \u00a31218.16!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Well done, and thank you all.\u00a0 Thank you to those who baked, helped, bought raffle\u00a0 tickets, crafts and came along on the day.\u00a0 This money will help benefit all the children at school.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
