On Saturday, I went to Irvine with my Family to take part in the National Burns Competition. I was singing against 18 other pupils in P4-5 who were from all over Scotland. It was a big competition and I really enjoyed myself. I did not win a medal this time but that does not matter. Thank you Barbara for playing the piano for me!
Lego WeDo Master Class P1-4
Better late than never they say so I hope that might be true!
The P1-4 Hottsbridge and Eaglesfield pupils who were in the Lego WeDo Mater Class were a joy to work with. They worked really well together and showed great resilience when the technology was being temperamental and when the programming was tricky and required some serious thinking. Well done all! The model here was made in our last week and was able to go in a straight line and round curves! It is made up of two smarthubs and two motors and various bits of Lego.
Dumfries rugby tournament
On Sunday, Langholm Rugby went to the Dumfries Rugby Tournament. We played seven games against some really good teams. We won four games, drew two games and sadly lost one but it was enough to get us second place in the tournament. There was only one point between us and the Dumfries A team but they deserved it. Our next tournament is at Langholm so hopefully we do just as well.
