When we started Primary 7 we created a class charter. We had to choose the articles which we thought were most important to us in class. We chose the theme of ‘Cars’. It was important to create this together and we found it fun. We developed our teamwork and focus skills.<\/p>\n

We have been learning about Ancient Egypt. As part of this context we learnt about mummification. We took part in a role play activity where we had to mime the process and we wrapped each other up in toilet roll. It was fun. We also learnt to dance like Egyptians! We developed our teamwork skills.<\/p>\n

We learned about pharaohs. We wrote a speech where we were a pharaoh speaking to the Egyptians. We thought it was fun and exciting. We developed our creativity, focus and initiative skills.<\/p>\n

As part of our topic we also created art work linked with ancient Egypt. We created a sunset background by colour mixing and added silhouette shapes. We enjoyed creating our art work and developed our creativity and focussing skills.<\/p>\n

We completed a piece\u00a0of writing where\u00a0we watched a video and then wrote a story about the ruins. We had to continue the story and create interesting characters. It was fun. We developed our creativity and critical thinking skills.<\/p>\n

We have coaches from Dumfries Saints coming in to teach us rugby. We played fun games and it was teaching us how to warm up and pass. It was fun and something different. We developed our critical thinking, communicating and collaborating skills.<\/p>\n

In PE with Mr Sharp we have been playing basketball. We have built up from learning different skills to playing full size games. It is fun and we are really enjoying the games. We have developed our communication and teamwork skills.<\/p>\n

During maths week Scotland we went outside to develop our maths skills. We created pictures and identified different types of angles. We also played some maths games to develop our problem solving skills. It was a fun way to learn.<\/p>\n
