Period Dignity
The Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021 (“the Act”) ensures that everyone in Scotland who menstruates can have reasonably convenient access to period products, free of charge, as and when required. The Act requires responsible bodies to meet their duties by establishing and maintaining arrangements for making period products obtainable for free.
We have developed best practice guidance on the provision of free period products within schools. The aim of this guidance is to ensure that we have a high standard level of service delivery in place across our schools in accordance with the Act.
