Link to event: Using Scotland’s new Anti Racism Resource

New national Early to Third Level Anti Racist Education resource

Following an in depth consultation and collaboration phase with a diverse range of children, young people and educators, this new national Scottish Government funded Anti Racist Education resource website was launched officially by Education Scotland as part of Black History Month in October and is now available for all educators: www.antiracisted.scot

The website includes a range of resources to support practitioners across all sectors, including play pedagogy for Early Level, workshop plans and animations for use in PSE and HWB lessons in Primary and Secondary settings.

WOSDEC are facilitating free twilight online Professional Learning for practitioners to build your confidence to use the website resources with your learners, funded by the Scottish Government.  The sessions are on offer for educators across the SWEIC and the West Partnership.  The first is designed for those professionals within a play pedagogy setting with learners working at Early Level.  The second session is designed for primary and secondary practitioners, for learners working at Second and Third Level (a First Level resource will be added to the website later in the year).  Although the resource is pitched at mainstream learners, we welcome educators working in ASN settings who are interested in how they might adapt the resource activities for the specific support needs of their learners.
