The Queensberry Learning Centre opened as part of Georgetown School in 2006. It is a centre for pupils from across Nithsdale with severe and complex learning needs. Pupils\u2019 specific needs are met both on an individual basis and collectively. They are supported by a committed team of staff who provide specialist education and care across a wide variety of experiences and outcomes both in and out of\u00a0 school. Each individual pupil is a member of a mainstream class and it is the philosophy of this school to ensure that by a collaborative approach involving both class teacher and Learning Support teachers every child’s maximum potential is realised. This philosophy of inclusion is embedded in school life as we welcome all new children to the school.<\/p>\n
