Covid-19 Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n The First Minister made an announcement on 10th<\/sup> December regarding the new Omicron variant of Covid.\u00a0 The briefing can be read in full here:<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n https:\/\/www.gov.scot\/publications\/coronavirus-covid-19-update-first-ministers-speech-10-december-2021\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The key message is:<\/strong><\/p>\n If you or a member of your household is symptomatic then ALL members of the household should isolate\u00a0and book PCR tests.\u00a0If one member of your household has a positive PCR result then ALL members need to isolate for\u00a010 days\u00a0regardless of whether they are already double vaccinated\u00a0or not.\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n December Diary Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n Month of December<\/strong> – Pupils may come to school wearing school uniform or Christmas jumpers \/ Christmas tops\/ Christmas dresses as they wish.<\/p>\n Wednesday 15th December – <\/strong>P4-7 Christmas Party.\u00a0 Pupils may come to school dressed in party clothes.<\/p>\n Thursday 16th December – <\/strong>School Christmas Dinner Day.\u00a0 Pupils may come to school dressed in a Christmas jumper, etc.<\/p>\n Friday 17th December at 1.30pm\u00a0<\/strong>– Online assembly for Mrs Maxwell’s retirement followed by afternoon tea for pupils and staff.<\/p>\n Monday 20th December\u00a0<\/strong> – Parent Council raffle is drawn in school.<\/p>\n Tuesday 21st December – P1-3 Christmas Party.\u00a0<\/strong> Pupils may come to school dressed in party clothes.<\/p>\n Thursday 23rd December – Thursday 6th<\/strong> January<\/strong> – School Holidays for pupils.\u00a0 Staff return on Wednesday 5th January and pupils return on Friday 7th January 2022.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gelston Parent Council Christmas Raffle<\/strong><\/p>\n Thank you for buying and selling raffle tickets.\u00a0 We really appreciate your kind donations too.\u00a0 The raffle will be drawn on Monday 20th December.\u00a0 Please return all unused tickets and ‘stumps’ and money into school as soon as possible so that we can arrange the raffle.\u00a0 Good luck to you all!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Gelston Primary School Parent Council Facebook Page<\/strong><\/p>\n Our Parent Council has its own Facebook page!\u00a0 This is a closed group so that privacy can be maintained.
