Well done to Abi and Kelly Hart from St Joseph’s College who were awarded the Equality Award at the D&G Youth awards in December as part of the Listen2Us Research Group. Abi and Kelly were recognised for their outstanding contributions to improving the lives of care-experienced young people. Since January 2024, they have been integral members of a research group collaborating with Glasgow University on a PhD project aimed at easing the transition to adulthood for care-experienced youth. Their dedication, insights, and leadership have been invaluable to shaping the project\u2019s aims and objectives. Their work has included leading workshops at the “We Care” event, which brought together care-experienced young people from across Dumfries and Galloway. The success of this event, held just before the summer holidays, is a testament to their commitment and passion for making a positive difference.
