Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder <\/p>\n\n\n\n
FASD Research Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Are you a secondary school staff member in the city of Edinburgh? Are you interested in being part of FASD research? We are involved in a research study on this topic and would be really grateful if you would consider taking part. It is a great opportunity for education professionals to find out about FASD resources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \ufeff<\/em>Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is a very common neurodevelopmental condition and disability, which is a result of an alcohol exposed pregnancy. Miranda Eodanable, PhD researcher at Edinburgh University and educational psychologist, has started to recruit secondary school staff in Edinburgh for a new study.<\/em> Miranda is very interested in understanding what would help school staff support pupils with FASD.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \ufeff<\/em>If you have some experience with pupils with<\/em> suspected<\/strong><\/em> or<\/em> confirmed FASD<\/strong><\/em> (even if a little)- you would be very welcome. The research involves a 5 minute questionnaire and an online focus group. The focus group will be online and a relaxed space for Miranda to show resources and to hear your thoughts. There are lots of great resources to take away and potential training opportunities offered.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \ufeff\ufeff<\/em>Please share this with anyone who might be interested.
