Individual Caseload Packages

Individual Caseload Packages can be offered to provide specialist assessment and advice. The type of package offered will depend on the level of your child’s needs.

Packages

Packages include:

  • Joint consultation with parents/carers and ELC staff
  • Specialist assessments (including observations) to assess aspects of the child’s development and understand barriers to learning
  • Help to develop a shared understanding of your child’s needs
  • Provide advice about appropriate learning experiences
  • Suggest ideas and strategies to use to help your child
  • Signpost to other professionals and agencies who can offer advice
  • Provide advice during a transition
  • TME (Target, Measure, Evaluate) to help to implement advice
  • Target Setting
  • Staff/parents/carers coaching
  • VIG (Video Interaction Guidance)

How to request a package:

The first step is to access Virtual Consultation. Further information can be found here.

After a Virtual Consultation, some time should be taken to implement the advice given.

Once the advice has been implemented, if further input is required, Health Visitors, ELC staff, Allied Health Professionals, Social Work, or other education staff can submit a Request for Assistance (RfA) to educationrequestforassistance@dumgal.gov.uk

After the EV service receives an RfA, the request is considered by our triage team. Based on the information that has been provided in the RfA, the triage team will contact the referrer and confirm next steps.
