Request for Assistance – what do I need to know?

If you’re looking for support from the Educational Visiting Service for a child or young person with additional support needs, there is a process to follow.

The first step is a Virtual Consultation.

This gives you the opportunity to discuss the child or young person, the support already in place and any concerns you may have. Following this discussion, it may be agreed that a Request for Assistance is the appropriate next step.

Making a Request for Assistance

A Request for Assistance helps the Educational Visiting Service understand the child or young person’s needs, what has already been tried and what additional support or guidance may be helpful.
