What are Virtual Consultations?

  • Virtual Consultations are 25-minute meetings, held between educational staff and Educational Psychologists. These are carried out online through Microsoft Teams.
  • These meetings can be opportunities to discuss challenges, questions, or issues with regard to the learning and development of children and young people. They can empower staff, inform planning, identifying strategies and interventions, and supporting education staff to bring about positive change for children and young people
  • Before booking a Virtual Consultation

  • We require that consent from the parent or carer is obtained prior to the consultation, as well as from the young person themselves if they are over the age of 12.
  • Each Virtual Consultation slot is for a for a single child or young person to be discussed. We also recommend a maximum of two attendees to these meetings.
  • It would be helpful to view our Virtual Consultation Sway, consider what your goal is, and what you would hopefully like to gain from this meeting.
