Why Choose VERP?
VERP is a very personalised training course which is tailored to each individual, setting or team, focused on what they want to change.
VERP intentionally raises awareness of professional strengths, skills and capacity for change, starting from a foundation of strength and building from this point. We aim to empower others.
NICE recommends video feedback approaches for autism, attachment and social and emotional wellbeing for ages 0-5.
VERP appears in the psychological matrix for early interventions, rated highly for both usability (4) and strength of evidence (3+/4) for ages 0-5 and 6-12. Further studies are needed in older age ranges.
VERP focuses on real life and has the potential to improve wellbeing and confidence at the same time as improving practice. VERP ensures that theory is truly embedded into practice.
Research has shown VERP to have significantly more impact than one off training. (Kennedy, Landor and Todd; 2015).
We currently have a team of accredited (or working towards accreditation) VERP practitioners delivering across the region. This includes Educational Visitors: Marion Linwood, Alison Reid, Fiona Welsh, Sam Rushton, Angela Anderson, Vicki Dunlop and Pam Abraham and Educational Psychologists: Fiona Irving, Wilma Stoker, Lynne Fernie, Alexander Ratchford and Anne-Marie Walker.
