class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This course allows candidates to extend the knowledge and skills they may have gained from a range of different subjects, or from experiences in Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies courses at lower levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Units of study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Philosophy of Religion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This unit supports candidates to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of arguments surrounding the existence of God, and responses to them<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>analyse arguments surrounding the existence of God<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>analyse responses to these comprised of two components; the exam which is worth 90 marks out of 140 marks and the dissertation which is worth the remaining 50 marks out of the 140.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>The Dissertation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates will identify a complex religious, moral or philosophical question or issue which allows them to research a wide range of views.
