We hope this helps other children, families, and school staff understand what can make going back to school easier.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Things That Helped<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a safe and quiet place to learn, like a Study Centre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Having a routine \u2013 it helped with feeling better and more&nbsp;organised.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Learning things that felt useful and interesting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Feeling listened to \u2013 being asked what we think and what we need.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Good communication between school and home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Time to take a break and come back slowly.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Support from family and friends.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Friendly teachers and staff who understand.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Being able to do some schoolwork from home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having meetings where we could share our thoughts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Things That Made It Hard<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Feeling pressure to go back before we were ready.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Worrying about what others (teachers or classmates) might think.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Problems with technology \u2013 like forgetting passwords.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Not being asked how we learn best.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advice from Young People<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8220;Talk to pupils and see where you can go from there.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Don&#8217;t pressure students with things they aren&#8217;t comfortable with.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8220;Having a routine was better for my mental health.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;School staff should follow pupils&#8217; lead.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8220;Listen to them (pupils); don&#8217;t lie.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8220;Talk to your parents, teacher, or anyone who wants to help you get back into school.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> &#8220;Take it at your own pace.
