In recognition of this milestone event, Kippford Lifeboat Station will be running a competition for children to design a poster celebrating 200 years of saving lives at sea.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">The competition will run until June. All completed entries must be received by Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June. The competition is open to any child. There will be three age categories with prizes for first, second and third in each category as follows \u2013 3-4 years, 5-7 years and 8-11 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">All entries must be A4 size.\u00a0<strong>RNLI<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>200<\/strong>\u00a0must appear somewhere on the design. Any medium can be used, e.g. pen, pencil, crayon, paint, collage as desired. The child\u2019s\u00a0<strong>name, age, school<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>attended<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>parental contact number<\/strong>\u00a0must be clearly displayed on the rear of the poster. Completed entries can be handed into the RNLI shop in Kippford or Dalbeattie Learning Campus for the attention of Mrs Howie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">The posters will be judged by members of the lifeboat crew and winners announced in early July.
