On Monday 24th June, P3 had the opportunity to visit the Galloway Soup Company for our lunch.\u00a0 It was a special treat, but also linked to our Food and Farming topic.\u00a0 After braving the monsoon, we arrived and\u00a0Joanne provided the children with their lunch and also talked to us about the ingredients she used, discussed sustainability and also her links with local businesses.\u00a0 She really underlined the importance of keeping things local!<\/p>\n

We also had a little quiz using some pictures, to find out where the products came from – local honey, milk and strawberries to name a few.<\/p>\n

We were sent on our way after having a lovely baby hot chocolate (with marshmallows and cream!), and also an ice cream from Glen Urr.\u00a0 Thank you Joanne for a thoroughly enjoyable lunch.\u00a0 The children and I will be back!<\/p>\n
