{"id":57,"date":"2020-01-21T14:11:15","date_gmt":"2020-01-21T14:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/crossmichaelpc\/?p=57"},"modified":"2020-01-21T14:11:15","modified_gmt":"2020-01-21T14:11:15","slug":"cyber-resilience-and-safer-internet-training-for-parents","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/crossmichaelpc\/2020\/01\/21\/cyber-resilience-and-safer-internet-training-for-parents\/","title":{"rendered":"Cyber Resilience and Safer Internet Training for Parents"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Good afternoon,<\/p>\n<p><i>Please see information below and attached poster re Cyber Resilience &amp; Safer Internet training for practitioners and parents.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>In response to a number of queries regarding sharing information and involving parents in the cyber resilience &amp; internet safety work of our schools the DG STEM team, in partnership with Education Scotland have organised four session for school staff, and representatives from parent councils.<\/p>\n<p>This training sessions will be presented by George Milliken, Development Officer \u2013 Digital Skill, Education Scotland and will offer practical advice to practitioners &amp; representatives from parent councils as they work together to promote cyber resilience &amp; safer internet use by children and young people to their wider parent forums &amp; school communities.<\/p>\n<p>The interactive session will inform attendees of the current guidance and best practice for staying safe online, avoiding potential hazards and recovering from setbacks.
