The agenda will cover:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Vikings<\/strong><\/p>\n The Galloway Viking Hoard is returning to Kirkcudbright in October for 6 months, after being found in Balmaghie some 5 years ago.\u00a0 This is a *world-class<\/strong>* Hoard \u2013 if you\u2019ve seen any of the National Museum publicity about it, you\u2019ll know how amazing it is.\u00a0The Galloway Hoard (nms.ac.uk)<\/a><\/p>\n In support of this, the Galloway Glens has invited some Vikings to take up residence in Crossmichael on the 16th<\/sup>\u00a0\u2013 19th<\/sup>\u00a0September \u2013 just across the water from where the Hoard was buried. They will be building themselves an encampment in order to offer an immersive experience of Viking life.<\/p>\n\n
