{"id":495,"date":"2020-04-01T18:02:53","date_gmt":"2020-04-01T18:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/crossmichael\/?p=495"},"modified":"2020-04-01T18:02:53","modified_gmt":"2020-04-01T18:02:53","slug":"update-01-04-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/crossmichael\/2020\/04\/01\/update-01-04-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Update &#8211; 01.04.2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\u00a0Dear Crossmichael and Gelston Families,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>THE CRITICAL CHILDCARE HUB IS MOVING TO DALBEATTIE:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>The Critical Childcare Hub hosted at Castle Douglas Primary School is, from Monday 6th, going to be located at a joint Hub in the Dalbeattie Learning Campus from 7am-8pm, seven days a week and over the Easter holidays.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Castle Douglas Cluster Schools staff will be still be involved with supporting and managing the childcare provision.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>HOW TO ACCESS FREE SCHOOL MEALS:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>Also, the Local Authority are arranging a &#8216;meals on wheels&#8217; service for those families who are entitled to this provision so we will no longer be coordinating this locally.\u00a0 Please see below for information from Dumfries and Galloway Council:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"a-heading a-heading--default\">\n<h1 class=\"a-heading__title\"><em>COVID-19 &#8211; Free School Meals<\/em><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"a-intro a-intro--default\"><em>Providing free school meals and ensuring the welfare and support of our children and young people is a key priority for our council.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"a-body a-body--default\">\n<p><em>Due to the ever-changing circumstances of COVID19 we will make sure that a food pack is available to all children and young people who meet the criteria for free school meals. <strong>This does not include all children in P1-P3 who would normally receive a free meal,<\/strong> only those who meet the entitlement criteria:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Income Support<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Job seeker&#8217;s Allowance (Income based)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Employment and Support Allowance (Income based)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Child Tax Credit on its own, with an annual taxable income of less than \u00a316,105 (subject to change)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit with an annual taxable income of less than \u00a36,900 (subject to change)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Universal Credit with a monthly earned income of not more than \u00a3610<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Families must confirm that they want to be included in this scheme by\u00a0<strong><a class=\"a-body__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dumgal.gov.uk\/article\/20696\/Free-School-Meal-Provision\">completing the online form\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>or\u00a0 or speaking to a member of the team on 01387 271112.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><a class=\"lnk-button btn-medium btn-green\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dumgal.gov.uk\/article\/20696\/Free-School-Meal-Provision\">Complete the request form<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>I am sorry that the information being sent out keeps changing but unfortunately this is necessary due to the nature of the current situation.<\/p>\n<p>As always, please contact me if you require any other information.
