Pupil Equity Funding

The Pupil Equity Funding (PEF) is allocated directly to schools and targeted at closing the poverty-related attainment gap.

Every council area is benefitting from Pupil Equity Funding and 97% of schools in Scotland have been allocated funding for pupils in P1-S3 known to be eligible for free school meals.

This funding is to be spent at the discretion of the head teacher working in partnership with key stakeholders and their local authority – PEF national operational guidance has been designed to help support those plans.  Crossmichael Primary will review the impact of the interventions on a termly basis, gathering robust evidence and data on the impact of interventions.

Pupil Equity Funding is allocated each academic year.  Crossmichael Primary’s PEF for 2024/25 is £26950.
