Update to the weekly blog – 09.10.2020

Dear Family and Friends of Crossmichael Primary School,

Here are a few additional items for this week’s blog.

Parent Council Halloween Word Scramble

A message from our Parent Council:

“Please find attached a Halloween Word Scramble for you to print off as many times as you wish and give to all your family, friends and relatives! Printed copies are available at Crossmichael village shop.

Please place your completed Word Scramble in an envelope together with a donation (we suggest £1, but feel free to donate whatever you feel you can)) and return either to school or to the village shop by Tuesday, 27th October. Don’t forget to provide a name and contact number so that we can contact the winner who will receive a Halloween themed treat! All proceeds will go to Crossmichael Primary School Parent Council and will be used to support the school in the education of your children by subsidising trips, purchasing materials and equipment and providing the odd treat along the way.
Enjoy the spooky challenge!”

Castle Douglas Development Forum Survey

A message from castle Douglas Development Forum:
“Community members of Castle Douglas and the surrounding areas, we need to hear your views on the future of Castle Douglas.
Castle Douglas Development Forum are in the process of developing a Strategic Town Plan for Castle Douglas and, as part of that process, we’re asking community members (residents, businesses, service providers etc) to complete an online survey to provide us with insight into what is already happening, what is needed and what support there is for future actions. We want to find out what you think is the way forward – what you would like to see happen and what you think the challenges and the opportunities are.
Every returned survey has the option to be entered into a £50 prize draw.
The survey closes on 6th November at 5pm.”

Information About PE Lessons

Here are the latest PE guidelines (10th October 2020) posted by Education Scotland and taking into account the advice from Scottish Government.  I understand that some parents were asking about what PE provision is happening in school and I hope that this offers some explanation.
