Or young people who live or have lived in homes where substance misuse is problematic and there is significant impact on the young person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Support provided:&nbsp; <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CAMHS is made up of several teams who have different skills to meet the needs of young people. Each team will have staff from different professional backgrounds and they have specific skills.&nbsp;Throughout a young person\u2019s&nbsp; journey they might meet and speak with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Admin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nursing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support Mental Health Workers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consultant Psychiatrists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation Lead<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child &amp; Adolescent Applied Psychologist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consultant Clinical Psychologist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Team Leaders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Senior Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Age range<\/strong>: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Young people aged 0-18 years. After 18 years transition to Adult Mental Health Services may be an option<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Area covered<\/strong>: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All Dumfries and Galloway<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Can an individual access the service directly, or do they need to be referred to it by another service \u2013 like a school, social worker, health practitioner for example? <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CAMHS accept referrals from professionals and also accept self referral which can be accessed via the <br><strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/dghscp.co.uk\/camhs\/\">CAMHS website<\/a><\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to make a referral (if applicable): <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As above, the self referral form is available on the CAMHS website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Top tips for making a &#8216;good&#8217; referral (if applicable):&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CAMHS will accept referrals from anyone who knows the child or young person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the young person is over 12 years old, they may want to refer themselves.\u00a0 Or they can ask a parent \/ carers \/ professional to make a referral for them, but the young person will need to give permission for this.\u00a0 The Self Referral Form should be filled out\u00a0with as much information as possible.
