Top tips for making a ‘good’ referral (if applicable):
Where possible sufficient notice should be provided for referrals in relation to supporting child and young people within decision making processes e.g. children’s hearings or child protection meetings. This allows the advocacy worker to build in time to develop trusting working relationships with children and young people in advance of supporting them at their meetings.
What needs to be in place before a referral is accepted (for example a Child’s Plan)?
Children and young people should be aware that a referral to Hear 4u had been made on their behalf.
Is there a charge/fee for this service (to the individual receiving it)?
The service is free for all children and young people.
If there is a charge/fee, is there funding available for this?
