Every child needs to be respected

Children can say what they want and know their rights.

Being respected means things like:

  • being allowed to be themselves
  • being listened to
  • children having their rights at home, in the community and at school

Rights mean the basic human rights and freedoms that belong to everyone in the world.

  • children feel good about themselves
  • children are given the information they need to make decisions
