Youth Engagement officers look to support Children and Young people, their parents/guardians and the educational providers for Children and Young People.

The role of the Youth Engagement Officer is to support the educational learning of children and young people about Crime and The Law during the Children and Young Peoples schooling. These officers will also support schools with child protection concerns and investigate crimes that have been committed within schools.

5 to 18 years.

There is a Youth Engagement Officer covering every secondary school within Dumfries and Galloway and these officers will also assist with supporting community officers covering primary schools.

Secondary Schools will have contact details for their Youth Engagement Officer. If any primary school or other partner is unsure who their Youth Engagement or local Community Officer is, they can contact any of the above e-mail address and this information will be provided.
