Who the service is aimed at:
Youth Engagement officers look to support Children and Young people, their parents/guardians and the educational providers for Children and Young People.
Support provided:
The role of the Youth Engagement Officer is to support the educational learning of children and young people about Crime and The Law during the Children and Young Peoples schooling. These officers will also support schools with child protection concerns and investigate crimes that have been committed within schools.
Age range:
5 to 18 years.
Area covered:
There is a Youth Engagement Officer covering every secondary school within Dumfries and Galloway and these officers will also assist with supporting community officers covering primary schools.
