As a partnership we consulted all stakeholders on our Vision, Values and Aims in 2018/19.
This year (2024/25) we have reviewed our Vision, Values and Aims. We have consulted with pupils, parents and staff. During consultation all stakeholder felt that the previous 20 school values were too many. The majority of stakeholders liked our current expectations in each school of Be Kind, Show Respect and Work Hard.
Both schools decided on different values to reflect their individual identities.
Gelston have decided that their new school values are Respectful, Achieving, Resilient, Equity (RARE)
Crossmichael have decided that the new school values are Respectful, Eco-friendly, Achieving, Creative and Healthy (REACH)
Over the next term we will begin exploring what each of the values means, what it looks like, sounds like and feels like and have them truly embedded in our everyday life. We will find new ways to display our values on our certificates, wall displays and communications.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our consultation.
