On the 29th of January our school and Kirkcowan went to the North West Hotel and went curling.We were practisng launching ourselves with the stones and practising sweeping.Half way we took a break and had drinks and biscuits.At the end we had a game I was playing against my friend John and his team.At the very end the winners got a medals for winning the mini games of curling. On Thursday the 30 th of jaunuary we went on the bus to stranraear on the way we picked up Kirkcowan and we went to north west castle to curl.As soon as we got in the women gave us an introduction and also explaind the safty rules one of the safty rules was lisen to your coach so that you dont fal or make a mistake you have got to be on your  best  behaviour  and our coach was two ladies they wer very nice and helful

the first thing we did was do some stretches at the side of the ice rink and we got took to the far side of the ice rink  we had to get a curling brush and we had to get a curling stone and  we learnd how to glide and how to get the stone  away rite up the ice rink and we had juice and biscuits and then we played a proper game i was very good i had a fantastic time

On the 30th of January 2014 we went to curling in Stranraer for a school trip.We went on the ice and I slipped over 3 times so then I had to get some grips so I wouldn’t slip over.We had some practise so we could get the hang of it.It was very hard at the start but I started to get the hang of it.After that we had a rest and had some biscuits.Then we had a game against the other side which we were sharing the ice with.We won by 1 point so at the end the team I was in got a medal each then we went back to school.

Hi everyone,

Today p6\7 went to the north west castle in Stranrar to do curling and I must say it was very fun.  All of the coaches were very kind were so kind and they taught us how curl well.  first we learn’t how to do it and not let go of the stone and then we learn’t how do let go of the stone while doing it which was a bit harder at tyhe start.  At the end before we went we had a proper cometition but befoe we did we to shake they other teams hand to show good sportman ship. But before we had the comprtition we had to pick who would play what place.  In my team there was Connie, Kathryn, Iona and myself.  Iona was the skip Connie was the lead and Kathryn was number 2 and I played number 3.
