On the 30th of january 2014 p6 and p7 from wigtown and kirkcowan went curling in the north castle ice rink. It was great fun! My team captain was John.

Today on the 30th of january I (as in Rueben) went curling with the p6/7s we split in to teams my team was kirsty,me,cory and katie we all had a great time but sadly we did not win. That was john and rachael. 2 very good team leaders rachael was against me and my team. Yes I was team leader too so was jamie and Reece. we also went with kirkcown. forgive me but I can’t remember any names

Today we went to Stranraer with kirkowan we went curling .When we got there we were told to put on our clean shoes then we were told what would happen.

On the 30th of January 2014, we went curling with Kirkcowan in Stranraer. We went to the north west castle.We were practising to launch the stones and were practising to do the sweeping.We had a little game at the end. I had a great time. By John

Thursday 30th p6/7 went to stranraer with kirkcowan primary to curling it was a long gurny when we got ther we all got tolled the rules. Then we did some streches after that we got on the Ice it was NOT slippy,we then got tought alot of curling tips. At the middle of the day we all went in for biscuts and jucse now the fun part we got to comepeat we got back on the Ice my group was connie, racheal, callum and ME we won with 1 point. then at the end my team got a medell it was fun.

Today we went curling I was in a team with callum,connie,shara. In the morning we were learning how to push of, the next thing we done was played a match Callum was number 3 and he was a sweeper so was Shara she was number 2, Connie was number 1 she d was the curling person and I was number 4 and Iwas the skip. At the end my team got a gold medal!!!!!!!! yeah!!!!!!!!! by Rachael

We and kirkcowan went to Stranraer to ice rink it was very cold. At the start the coaches tought us how to sliding for little while. then we started to slide and let go of the curl and then we got to the advanced part of the game……brushing to make it faster and slower and to steer the curl. the coaches tought us how to curl the play into point area. Then we had a rest for ten mins then we had a real game it was really hard theres three postions skip brushers and the bowler thier is a toss if you win the toss the other team gets point advantage we lost 4-1. I thoughly enjoyed it.

Curling initiation test
Today we went curling at the north-west castle ice rink in stranrarer.When we arrived we went to the rink,and it was very slippery, I can tell you ! However, first of all we learned how to ” glide ” across the ice ,then let the stone shoot across the ice. Afterwards we all came together and some of us- including me- got shiny gold medals- I mean how EPIC is that?!!!

Wigtown and Kirkcown went to the ice rink me Connie Kristy and Kathyrn we were against Libbie Dan Milly and Callum we plaed agianst each outher it was a draw then after that we went back to school .

Hello!
I’m Kathryn. I just went curling with my school and Kirkcowan School. I was in a group with Kristy, Connie and Iona. 🙂 I had loads of fun! 😀 Our instuctors were Michael and Wendy. They were so nice and I was so glad to have them as my instructor. After we had practised, we played a game between each group. Sadly… I didn’t win, but I really don’t care because it was too much fun!
