loom bands!

On the 27th of June 2014 Carrutherstown primary were making loom band bracelets. We had all different teachers to talk us through the making of the bracelet. I was a teacher and i was teaching people to do a inverted fishtail. It was very difficult teaching a lot of kids. I had most of the class in my group and it was nearly impossible. It was great fun. And i learned how to teach people. This is Hayden’s loom band bracelet he was in my group.

LOOM BANDS

Tha Loom Band I made

This week at school, we have been learning all about Loom Bands and how to make them. The first Loom Band I learnt how to make was one called The Fishtail. To make The Fishtail you would need three Loom Bands, ( Different colours if possible ) then put the first Loom Band in a figure of 8 on two fingers, after that you put the two other Loom Bands onto your fingers, you fold the figure of 8 Loom Band over the top of both of them and then add the same colour over the top and then carry on the sequence until its just past your wrist. The tricky part of making a Loom Band is hooking the ends together at the end, but when you do manage it you will be broud of yourself. The best part is when you put it on your wrist and see the magnificent colours.

Loom Bands!

On the 26th and 27th of June P4-7  pupils have been making loom bands in short periods of time. In this challenge we had to learn new skills of putting the bands on and you had to listen very CAREFULLY! In these times we made fishtails, ones on forks and inverted fishtails.
