Emily and Jamie, two fabulous musicians, have been visiting P3-7 every Tuesday morning to teach us all about Scottish music. We hope to showcase some songs at a Scottish Evening in February.

On Tuesday the 20th of November, p7 went to Lockerbie town hall for a day of activities to get them ready for the academy. They took part in 5 workshops which included: alchohol, food tasting, body combat, bullying and fire safety. It gave them really good information and they really enjoyed it!

Click on the link below to watch a short video of the P3-7 fishing day at Kinmount. The children had a fabulous day even though they were soaked to the skin. I think we will order a sunny day next time!

On the 21st of November, primary 7 went to Langholm to compete in their science challence. They did two challenges which included making a parachute which contained an egg, the teachers dropped them from the top of the school and St Mungo was the only school who could protect their egg! The team came 1st and we were all very proud of them. Well done!
The day started with a fancy dress parade. The staff were amazed at
the wonderful costumes on show.
We then enjoyed a morning of fun activities from badge making to
sewing and art with Miss Speirs.
Then it was off to the portakabin for party time!
We had a fabulous Halloween feast which was enjoyed by all.
After we had all eaten lots we played games, dooked for apples and played the donut game. It was great fun. There was so much food we all got a goody bag to take home.
A big thank you to the parents for the delicious food, Mrs Kerr for the spooky decorations, Mrs Smith for organising the games and the Parent Council for the fabulous prizes. We can’t wait till next year!
