{"id":5489,"date":"2017-11-10T10:28:33","date_gmt":"2017-11-10T09:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/StAndrewsPrimarySchoolBlog\/?p=5489"},"modified":"2017-11-10T10:28:33","modified_gmt":"2017-11-10T09:28:33","slug":"author-visit-nursery-and-primary-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/StAndrewsPrimarySchoolBlog\/2017\/11\/10\/author-visit-nursery-and-primary-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Author Visit &#8211; Nursery and Primary 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week our Nursery\u00a0and Primary 1 children got together to welcome an author to our school.\u00a0 Hazel Stevens the author of Poppy Wants to Bake a Cake came to visit us.\u00a0 This was a great opportunity for us to ask questions about the book including\u00a0finding out about the\u00a0characters and setting and how an author gets the ideas for\u00a0the story.<\/p>\n<p>The children took part in 4 activities linked to the book including using pastels to create masks, designing rag dolls and icing their own tasty cake!
