Positive Behaviour at Lochside Primary

At Lochside Primary School, we employ an assertive discipline policy with four fundamental beliefs:

  • All pupils have a right to learn.
  • All adults have a right to be able to do their job.
  • All adults have a responsibility to promote good behaviour.
  • All children can behave.

The policy was drawn up in consultation with pupils, parents and staff. It can be found here: Assertive Discipline Policy Sept 2011

The school framework is based upon praise and encouragement: Positive School Actions Sept 2011

The Pupil Council consulted with staff and parents in drawing up a School Code of Conduct. This is reviewed annually with all pupils: Code of Conduct updated Sept 2011
