{"id":978,"date":"2013-03-20T12:08:16","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T12:08:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/LeswaltPrimarySchool\/?p=978"},"modified":"2013-03-20T12:46:04","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T12:46:04","slug":"red-nose-day-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/LeswaltPrimarySchool\/2013\/03\/20\/red-nose-day-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Nose Day 2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/LeswaltPrimarySchool\/files\/2013\/03\/Red-Nose-Day-Mar-13-Millie-Ethan-41.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail wp-image-985\" title=\"Red Nose Day - Mar 13 - Millie &amp; Ethan (4)\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/dg\/LeswaltPrimarySchool\/files\/2013\/03\/Red-Nose-Day-Mar-13-Millie-Ethan-41-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The boys and girls at Leswalt Primary had a fun day on Friday 15<sup>th<\/sup> March when they all arrived at school in their pyjamas to help raise money for Comic Relief.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As well as paying for the privilege of wearing their nightwear to school the pupils also had the \u201cGreat Leswalt Bake off\u201d and sold off delicious home baking.\u00a0 And, all week the school had been selling the official red noses to pupils.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Primary1-4 had been working very hard on their enterprise business this term.\u00a0 \u201cSmarty Pants\u201d was the company formed by Mrs Wither and the younger class.\u00a0 They created and sold fridge magnets, book marks and ornaments, with a Scottish theme. \u00a0\u00a0After calculating their costs the pupils are donating all profits to Comic Relief.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Primary 5-7 designed and sold their Scottish quiz sheets \u2013 with the eventual winners being the Anderson family.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In the afternoon of 15<sup>th<\/sup> March the whole school came together with parents and family to watch \u201cLeswalt\u2019s got talent\u201d.\u00a0 Pupils signed up to audition for Mrs Baillie and the finalists performed in front of the judging panel which consisted of Harold Mc Cracken, Nina Agnew, Claire Agnew and Mrs Mc Knight. \u00a0\u00a0There was a wide variety of talent on display from saxophone and piano playing to singing, dancing and cheerleading. After all 12 acts had performed the judges had the difficult job of selecting the winners. Millie and Ethan Smith did a wonderfully choreographed dance routine together, and were rewarded for their efforts with chocolate Easter eggs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>After all the fun the boys and girls of Leswalt raised \u00a3250 for Comic relief.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The boys and girls at Leswalt Primary had a fun day on Friday 15th March when they all arrived at school in their pyjamas to help raise money for Comic Relief.
