On Friday 24th june 2011, the whole of Leswalt Primary travelled to Edinburgh to perform in front of the crowds at The Royal Highland Show.\u00a0 We had an absolute ball!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Oor grateful thanks tae a’ at\u00a0 R.H.E.T
\nFor choosin’ LESWALT tae go
\nTae promote oor tatties an’ D.and G.
\nAt\u00a0 this year’s Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday morn,twenty fourth o’ June,
\nAt half past seeven or so.
\nWe climbed aboard McCulloch’s bus
\nFor a trip tae The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

A guid run up the coast road
\nOne fifty miles tae go.
\nAn’ jist afore eleeven o’clock
\nWe reached The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

We had a snack an’a wanner roon
\nThere were umpteen places tae go.
\nAn’ at twelve o’ clock we milked a coo !
\nThat day at The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then made oor way tae the grandstan’
\nWhen “THE\u00a0 TATTIES ” had tae go
\nTae don tattie bag kilts and tattie heids
\nTae dance at The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

We sat an’ cheered an’ clapped oor han’s
\nOor faces wi’ pride aglow,
\nTae see them “WALK FIVE HUNDRED MILES”
\nFor the folk at The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

By then it was the back o’ two
\nAn’ we had time tae go
\nAn see some o’ the ither things
\nTae view at The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>There’s Countryside an’ Forestry
\nThere’s livestock row on row
\nThere’s Bikes an’ Cairts an’ Tractors
\nA’ at The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

Red Arrows did a flee past
\nAn’ the sun it kept aglow
\nAn’ at half past five the time came roon
\nTae lay The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

The weans were tired but happy
\nThe teachers were shattered an’so
\nOnce again we boarded the bus
\nFareweel Tae The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

A smooth run back tae oor south west nest
\nAn’ as daylicht started tae go
\nAboot nine o’ clock we reached Leswalt
\nHame fae The Heilan’ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whit a day tae remember for years tae come
\nTae tell a’ the folk we know
\nO’ the day we danced as tatties
\nWhen we went tae The Heilan ‘ Show.<\/span><\/p>\n
