Armed with tatties, beans, soup and the biggest carrots and leeks we have ever seen!! (courtesy of Papa Finlay’s garden), we headed across to the church for our annual Harvest Celebration🥕🫘🍠.

When we arrived, we saw lots of mummies, daddies and member sf our families there, ready to celebrate harvest with us. Reverend Marlene led a lovely service and explained that a lot of the food we eat comes from countries all over the world, some of which, not as privileged as us. She made us think about how lucky we are to have food to eat, and how important sharing our food with those who need it is.

The boys and girls shared some beautiful songs, the P4-7’s shared their rendition of ‘Harvest Time Has Come,’ and the littles ones showed off their ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrow’ song with some super cute actions! 🥰 We all joined together to sing ‘1,2,3,4,5 a day’ which I’m sure will be stuck in a few heads tonight!😅

Thank you everyone who joined in our celebrations at the Church this afternoon and for all the kind food donations. We can’t wait to share these with some of our lovely Leswalt residents tomorrow.💕
